1. Settle in.
Take a few breaths. Notice what you see, hear, feel, smell, and taste. The more present you are, the clearer your reading will be.
2. Add your leaves.
Place about a teaspoon of loose tea into your cup and pour in hot water. Let it steep for 3 minutes.
3. Ask your question.
Keep it specific. Reflect on what matters most to you right now.
4. Sip slowly.
Think about your question as you drink. Leave a small amount of tea and leaves at the bottom.
5. Flip and swirl.
Place the saucer on top of the cup and turn both upside down. Hold the cup in your left hand. Swirl it three times.
6. Wait. Rotate. Tap.
Let the cup rest upside-down for one minute. Rotate it three times clockwise. Tap the bottom three times.
7. Reveal and read.
Turn the cup right side up with the handle facing left. The area under the handle is your “answer zone.”
